ABOUT
Daniel is senior at Vanderbilt University studying architecture history, computer science, and digital fabrication.
He is interested in industrial design, furniture design, and architecture, especially adaptive reuse. His work in a restoration studio in Brooklyn, NY has given him hands-on experience fabricating and restoring wood and metal objects. Working onsite at the Dakota Building on the Upper West Side and at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion has given him a deep appreciation for the history and construction of buildings - something he believes should be conserved and valued. He sees working by hand and understanding materials as foundational to his work in design. In digital fabrication courses, he has learned to design in CAD (Fusion 360) and produce prototypes and final models through FDM, SLA, and SLS 3D printing.
Daniel has also been shooting film photography since high school and loves the slow, mechanical nature of analogue photography.
